![]() Chance is able to get cured from the werewolf bite and get his magic back. The last warlock from when Chance was at the Franklin school showed up and was in league with wolf from Boston and the rogue that bit Chance. The quick storyline with Chance's father and the russians seemed out of place and wasn't really needed. We find out more about Chance's mom and her Roma family in this story. The pack wasn't very prominent in this story either, but we see Shade come into her own. I liked this storyline because I felt that Shade and her pack were taking a back seat in the previous stories. Both are trying to tell Chance he isn't good enough and that Shade needs a strong wolf to mate with. So the rogue that bit him beats the crap out him and tells him what to do, then the wolf from Boston, beats the crap out of him and tells him what to do. Chance now doesn't have a choice but to follow the orders of the Alpha, even if he doesn't want to. While Chance was seen as part of the pack by Shade, he was never a werewolf so he didn't have to worry about the werewolf hierarchy. But now, he and Shade can be together though right? Not exactly. That also means that he is going to lose his magic though. At the same time, Chance is attacked by the rogue werewolf and is infected. He immediately comes and tries to take over for Shade and tell her what to do. For some reason that means that one of the alpha wolves from Boston has to go and see what is going on. One of Shades pack members is killed by a rogue wolf which requires the conclaves involvement. I think the last book was something of an anomaly.
